UPDATE: Minnesota Supreme Court Varies the Guidelines for Granting Variances

Back in February I wrote about a Minnesota Supreme Court case, Krummenacher v. City of Minnetonka, which drastically curtailed the discretion of municipalties to grant variances.  In that post, I pointed out the language  in the opinion which essentially asked the Legislature to revise the ambiguous statute which led to the decision.

The Legislature did just that this past session.  My partner, Dan Schleck, wrote an excellent post for our Firm's Law Watch blog that provides an update on the Legislature's actions.  You can read Dan's post here.
